Diljit Dosanjh received a warm response from Shah Rukh Khan after the singer expressed his admiration for the actor and his IPL team, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), during his concert in Kolkata.
On Saturday evening, Diljit performed for an excited, packed audience. The following morning, he shared a clip from the concert on X (formerly Twitter), where he also spoke about prominent figures such as Rabindranath Tagore and Guru Nanak.
The video begins with Diljit enthusiastically shouting “Korbo Lorbo Jeetbo,” KKR’s iconic slogan. He then remarked, “This is a great slogan. Is this KKR’s? It’s very nice. We especially like it because it’s Shah Rukh Khan sir’s team, and we are huge fans of him. It’s a wonderful message: you work hard, fight alongside your team, and whether you win or lose, that’s secondary.” Diljit continued, “Our duty is to give 100%. If you put in 100% effort, winning becomes inevitable. It’s truly a great slogan.”
He also spoke about the pride in Kolkata’s rich cultural heritage, adding, “It’s a matter of pride that you have such great figures like Rabindranath Tagore. I was reading about him, and there’s something he said that I like. Someone once told him, ‘You wrote the National Anthem, why not write a world anthem?’ His response was beautiful—he said, ‘Guru Nanak ji already wrote that in the 15th century.’” Diljit then recited it and encouraged the audience to read the world anthem. The video concluded with him acknowledging the deep bond between the people of Kolkata and Punjabis.

I’m sure everyone at @KKRiders and their fans loved the ‘Korbo Lorbo Jeetbo’ mention. All the best and enjoy your tour… Love you.” Diljit responded with, “Thank You, Sir. We LOVE YOU. KORBO LORBO JEETBO.
