South Korean actor Park Min Jae, known for his roles in popular K-dramas, tragically passed away after suffering a cardiac arrest.
The 32-year-old star was traveling through China at the time of his death on November 29. His agency shared the news and announced that his funeral will be held on December 4.
In a heartfelt statement, the agency wrote, “Park Min Jae, a talented actor who loved acting and always gave his best, has departed for heaven. We are deeply grateful for all the love and support you’ve shown him. Although we can no longer see him perform, we will proudly remember him as an actor of Big Title. May he rest in peace.”
Park Min Jae was a rising star in the Korean entertainment industry, known for his roles in hit dramas like Tomorrow, Little Women, Call It Love, The Korea-Khitan War, Mr. LEE, and Bo-ra! Deborah.
His passing comes just weeks after the death of another South Korean actor, Song Jae-lim. The 39-year-old was found dead in his Seoul apartment, and an investigation is ongoing. Police found a note at his apartment, but there were no signs of foul play. Song Jae-lim, known for his role in the popular 2012 drama Moon Embracing the Sun, made his debut in the 2009 film Actresses and later appeared in the streaming series Queen Woo.
