A teaser from Silk Smitha – Queen of the South was released on what would have been Silk Smitha’s 64th birth anniversary.
The biopic stars Chandrika Ravi as the legendary actress. On the occasion of the late Vijayalakshmi Vadlapati’s 64th birth anniversary, the announcement teaser for the upcoming film was unveiled. Chandrika Ravi takes on the lead role, portraying the iconic Silk Smitha, a prominent figure in South Indian cinema during the 1980s and early 1990s.
Chandrika Ravi shared the first glimpse of Silk Smitha – Queen of the South on her Instagram on Monday. Along with the three-minute preview of the biopic, she wrote on her Instagram Stories, “In honor of Silk Smitha’s birthday today, we present to you the first glimpse of Silk Smitha – Queen of the South.” Silk Smitha rose to fame as an actress and dancer in the Telugu and Tamil film industries, and she also appeared in Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi films. Over the course of nearly two decades, she appeared in over 400 films.
