The teaser for the film Vidamuyarchi was released with much excitement, but its release has faced multiple delays.
The film encountered several challenges during shooting in Azerbaijan, which led to Ajith losing interest in the project at one point. Now, the film must be released by Pongal, or it risks not being bought at all. As a result, Vidamuyarchi has been confirmed for a 2025 Pongal release.
However, director Magizh Thirumeni is still causing delays.
He has requested an additional 25 days of patchwork and shooting for the film. Earlier, Lyca claimed that only 40 days were left before the Pongal release, and the matter was escalated to Netflix and Ajith himself.
Meanwhile, Ajith is also occupied with the shoot for Good Bad Ugly. Despite this, Magizh Thirumeni insists that he needs to travel to Thailand to complete some crucial patchwork and scenes. Ajith did not fully agree to the request but eventually allocated 10 days for the Thailand shoot. The shooting must be wrapped up within this time frame, or the film will not meet its scheduled release.
The film crew is now preparing to head to Thailand, where Ajith will shoot for five days. Whether Vidamuyarchi will be released for Pongal depends on the completion of this final phase of shooting. The fate of the film’s release will be determined once these works are finished.
