When it comes to finding affordable products and services, Mexico truly offers a wealth of options.
From beauty services to fresh food — including meat delivered the same day — the choices are endless. As the resident philosopher queen of Mexico News Daily and a self-proclaimed deep thinker, I’ve taken it upon myself to brainstorm some other business ideas that could really benefit the country today.
In fact, there are many products you can have delivered right to your door without even stepping outside! For example, I hear a man selling tortillas and masa (corn dough) on my street every day, and I can easily have garrafones (water jugs) brought to my doorstep. Private services also take care of things like trash collection, and even though I’ve never asked for it, there’s always a “neighborhood security guard” keeping an eye on things. Simply put, it’s surprisingly easy to get the essentials here. While not everything is straightforward, many things are more accessible than you might expect.
Of course, looming trade tariffs from the US could lead to economic challenges for Mexico. After all, world trade relies on mutual agreements, and the future remains uncertain. But in times like these, one rule remains clear: the more self-sufficient a country is, the less vulnerable it becomes to shifts in the global economy.
Even with these concerns, I still find myself wishing for certain products or services that haven’t quite reached the market here yet. While I’m not necessarily a businessperson, perhaps someone out there with the right skills will take up the challenge and bring these ideas to life.
